Betik complies with the EUDR regulation

Betik is ahead of the EUDR regulation and has already adapted its entire product range for a deforestation-free future

At Betik, we want to share some great news: anticipating the demands of the market and the planet, we have successfully completed our adaptation to the EUDR regulation (EU Deforestation Regulation for imported products), allowing us to achieve full traceability of our products from the source.

With this initiative, we aim to further strengthen our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and environmental responsibility.

Reglamento EUDR Betik

What is the EUDR?

The EUDR (Regulation (EU) 2023/1115) represents an important step in EU environmental policy: it seeks to reduce the European Union’s contribution to global deforestation and forest degradation.

It applies to key raw materials such as wood, cocoa, coffee, soy, palm oil, rubber, and beef, as well as products derived from them.
The main requirements include:

  • A Due Diligence Statement (DDS) must document the entire process.
  • Products marketed must be deforestation-free.
  • Production must comply with the legislation of the country of origin.

How have we implemented it at Betik?

Thanks to a combination of best practices, technology, and active collaboration with our suppliers, we have managed to:

  • Work with our suppliers to obtain geolocation data and verify compliance with local legislation at the source.
  • Conduct a full risk assessment of our supply chain in accordance with Article 10 of the EUDR.
  • Implement risk mitigation measures in line with Article 11.
  • Deploy a digital traceability system allowing 100% identification of raw material origins.
  • Obtain and retain all necessary records and documentation for the due diligence statement for at least five years.

Why is it important?

As a customer, we want to provide you with the assurance that all Betik products you receive meet the highest sustainability standards, reinforcing our joint effort for a better world.

Of course, if you have any questions about the new EUDR regulation, how we have implemented it at Betik, or if you want to explore how to adapt your own supply chain to these standards, please do not hesitate to contact us.
